Yep.
Sorry, too depressed to respond with more detail. I would laugh, if I could.

Hi Penelope. Kliovance contains Norethisterone which is known to cause low mood and pms type symptoms in some women. You may find that this improves after the initial three months but if not then it would be worth considering a change of HRT.

It's great news that HRT has sorted out so many symptoms for you and it's such a shame that it has lowered your mood. Be kind to yourself.

Hey Penelope,
Just wanted to say I sympathise. I'm having a horrendous time too, so depressed which hasn't been a problem for a while, and my gut is telling me it is hormonal and will settle but just don't know for sure.
The only thing I can think of is maybe ask for some extra medical help while you adjust. It could settle but that could take a while, possibly at least a couple of months, and in the meantime you need to look after yourself. That's what I'm telling myself: I could always come off extra medication in future if I level out! And I've levelled out before so I'm sure you can.
Do you have enough support around you?
X
PS: it's frustrating when HRT helps some symptoms but not others!

Hi Redlocks how far along are you on with HRT I'm only 40 days the depression lifted after three days so I am presuming it will come and go over the next five months till I level out.
I have hormone headaches for the past three days so I'm guessing they will go and something else will come.
Did you find that?xx

Hey Penelope,
I think it breaks down like this...(a) some of us cannot take progesterone of ANY kind EVERY DAY. (b) some of us cannot take SOME kinds of progesterone everyday or on a cycle because they just don't agree with us CV at all  (c) some of us can tolerate a certain type of progesterone on a cycle or for the shortest time possible, because they are more manageable than others.

There are lucky people who have no problem with progesterone whatsoever but you don't usually find them here!!! ;D :-X
It may well settle after 3/4 months and you are not there yet but it may also be that you will need to work your way through them and see which one suits and how best to take it for you.

By rights I should be using utrogestan everyday... but I can't do that, it messes with my head and because it is a separate dose rather than a combined pill I can choose to take it for 12 days in a month only.

As Taz says Kliovance contains the synthetic progesterone Norethisterone and it appears from anecdotal evidence on the forum that it is one which is well known to bring on depressive moods and so it might be you are susceptible to that when you are taking it in kliovance? xx
