Stomach aches like contractions, bloated
« on: January 08, 2020, 07:01:01 PM »

Happy new year all. Not been on here in a while, I feel much better mentally on the everol sequi, and the hot flashes have passed, however this is the second time this has happened and I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced anything similar.   Basically when I'm due for my withdrawal bleed I'm having horrendous stomach cramps almost like contractions in stomach and back and feel so bloated, so bad today I've had to stay off work as I can't get comfortable. There's doesn't appear to be any blood loss.  I started on the hrt in the summer after feeling like I was going mad  with memory fog, pmt rage, terrible anxiety etc etc.   Wondering if maybe I should come off the hrt 🤔 has anyone else had this? Tried hot water bottles and relaxation breathing but nothing is helping

Hi Sharon J

I take Deflatine for my stomach cramps and bloating. Or windeze. Both work good for me.
And if they're too bad a couple painkillers too.
I'm post meno, and still get them occasionally.
In my case, it's a small price to pay for my sanity, and wellbeing.
I'm on femoston conti, and it must be the hormones that do it.
Hang on in there, it may pass off, see how you go, or maybe mention it to the doctor next time your there.
Let us know how your getting on....Happy New Year to you too.

I've not had stomach cramps but certainly find the week before my period was horrible in Peri.
I would get things I never normally get; migraines, brain fog, loose smelly stools. Then after a week
of misery, just when I was thinking of booking a GP appointment it would all clear and I would have
3 or 6 or even 9 week of being fine. For me looking back it was definitely hormone/anxiety/cortisol
related.   Now my periods have 3-4 month gaps I don't get the gastric symptoms any more.
I have cut back hugely on Caffeine/ alcohol/fried foods and also chocolate which all don't agree
with me any more. Things like green tea and porridge make me feel better.
