Prof Studd told me that for women who suffer with reproductive anxiety/depression, that gets much worse during peri, usually need levels above 800pmol before they feel well again.

It stands to reason women will need very different levels, depending on their physiology. Diabetics take very different levels of insulin etc.

I strongly suspect many women simply aren't on nearly enough oestrogen, and that if they raise their dose they don't persevere with it for nearly long enough. It's so cruel because if you're feeling horribly low and anxious due to low oestrogen then you simply cannot handle the temporary increase in anxiety that raising your levels bring - even though ultimately the higher level might well be beneficial. So cruel.

Gypsy= that makes total sense to me.
I have been an anxious nut job since birth.  Massive esculation in my late teens.  Peri-well, that truly was something else.
My Oestrogen blood was 1197 and i still felt pants.  BUt now i have essentially doubled my dose, i feel great.  I have even reduced my SSRI's something i haven't done in a long while.
Proffs view that levels above 800 for any effect make me think how much of my life long anxiety has been hormone related.  I have always stuggled with certain progesterones and TBH did feel great once i found the correct comb pill (for some reason stopped taking it when i was 24 ( no idea why i stopped), but my MH cetainly got worse after that.
BUt i am staying on this dose for as long as i can, 90's if i get that far! lol
