Cold
« on: December 23, 2019, 06:59:17 PM »

Hi all,
Not had a good week, on antibiotics for kidney/ water infection,
Taking 2 a day, morning and evening,
Now I'm not sure if it's the ab's or meno symptoms but my hands, feet, ears and nose are always freezing cold,
Head ache and fuzzy head, had this before but seems constant, sick feeling, no appetite at all, and constant shakes/shivers/ vibrating feeling from torso down to my toes,
Only time I feel comfortable is in  bed not good the day before xmas eve,
I dont feel ill just dont feel myself, still bleeding sometimes little bits sometimes a lot with clots too, not huge but not nice,
Could some of this be down to ab's ?

Hello kazy68

It sounds to me that you have a viral infection similar to the ones that have been circulating recently. I'm not a medic but I don't think the abs are the cause. You may be run down because of your kidney infection which has made you vulnerable to other bugs.

I was told recently that the treatment for viruses is plenty of fluids and rest so I suggest you stay in bed and drink plenty of water.

Best wishes and I hope you feel better soon.

I agree with Kathleen, it sounds more like a bug than anything else. Bad timing, I hope feel better by Xmas. Can anyone help you with the Xmas preparations? An early night and easy day tomorrow would be the best thing.

Kazy68, what you discribed is pretty much what I had when I had my kidney infection.  It will pass as the ABs do their job.  Also ABs often make you feel nauseous as well but try and eat when you can.

Probably a Germ then  :-X .......... lots of Paracetamol.  Lots of fluids.  Stay in bed or wrap up in a blanket on the sofa ......... it can take a while B4 it works it's way through the system which may leave you feeling weak.  Bananas?

Sorry not replied until now,
I think it is/was a virus or a bug, I started to feel better xmas eve, was not hundred percent  xmas day but getting there now, still got achey back and cramps but got gp app on the 7th,
My mum has now come down with it and hubby not to cleaver either ( best not tell him I told you this lol)
All I can say/advise is feet up hot water bottle and plenty fluids, it is not nice at all.
Keep well
