Hi everyone, thanks for letting me join. I'm 49 and been in menopause for around 11 months (difficult to pinpoint as had hysterectomy)
I've got all the usual stuff and a couple of unusual ones.
I'll try anything to help stem the symptoms and so far the night sweats have been held off with boots own brand support vitamins but no luck with the other “wonderful†power surges etc.

Hi Strawberrygiraffe
Glad you've found us.
It's just awful isn't it, sweats, power surges, ect.....
Ask anything you like, someone's always on to give advice and support.

Hello Strawberrygiraffe and welcome to the forum.
Ah the power surge, I know it well. You may find that other symptoms by pass you altogether or burn themselves out fairly quickly. Whatever you experience there will be someone here who has had the same thing and can impart their wisdom.
Take care and keep posting.

Hello Strawberrygiraffe. Welcolme I have found the help and advice from all here to be invaluable.
Could you please describe what you mean by power surges and what they feel like for you?
Thanks I hope you are feeling ok and looking forward to Christmas. I joined in early January this year and just being able to drop in for help when needed has kept me sane.❤️

Hi. Thanks for the replies. The power surges are pretty much hot flushes.
I took to calling them power surges after a close friend described them that way.
I find I can just about cope with them, the short term memory loss and the tears but it's the insomnia, anxiety and paranoia that's really having a detrimental effect on me.
I've just started on CBD oil so fingers crossed
