I don't know 12 people (outside family) who don't visit CLKD!. how do I read that  ;D

The girl friends I can cope with separately for small amounts of time.  They drop by during the year taking us as they find us, stuff an' all  ::)

DH enjoys it.  Apparently  :-\

Sorry CKLD must do better with my punctuation  :) :) - you said in a previous post "I don't know 12 people that I would want to share more than 2 hours at a time with"!  so what I should have written in reply was...
"Except for family.....(who don't visit us) I don't know 12 people!"   I didn't mean that they don't visit you :stupid:  What am I like!
By way of explanation...
I know 12 people in our family but they don't visit at Christmas because we live in NI and they are in England plus they have work and kids and the flights at this time of year are mega expensive for a couple of days.  We have some work but the cost is prohibitive for us.  Other than that I don't "know" 12 people!  I have one girlfriend who also lives in England, other than that I have no "friends" nor does hubby!  Life hasn't been very kind for quite a few reasons and so we don't know anybody to spend time with.  I have acquaintances that "I know" but that's just it, they are passing acquaintances.

Oh, hats are back.  Is there something on?  :o

We have lots of acquaintances.  None that visit us here.  Family are too far away  8).  So it is a real effort to meet up.  Even for funerals and certainly not for C.mas as they have their own routines.   So do friends.  Very few have been kept over the years and I visit those close when anxiety allows.

Nothing, be glad when it's over,went shopping today and in my rush to get out of the shop ,i left my debit card in their counter card machine,
Luckily they have kept it for me,but means another trip into town

I feel the same.  I went to the Designer outlet last night.  Got stuck in traffic, and almost wet myself.  In my rush to get to the loo, I lost my parking ticket.  Luckily, the man at customer services took pity on the bedraggled woman in front of him, and gave me a free barrier pass ... smal things to be grateful for, eh?

I am looking forward to having my fella and my daughters together for dinner though (to offset the Bah, humbug!)

The Christmas tree and garland with fairy lights to light the room. Having my children home and the laughing til you cry moments that brings. My husband taking sanctuary in the kitchen to cook dinner to escape us - perfect! :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
