Can/should I stop taking Femeston due to Hysterectomy.
« on: December 27, 2019, 08:45:58 PM »

Having my hysterectomy in 18 days and just finished a pack of Femeston have been on the conti cycle.
Should I start a new pack or stop taking them as going to have to come off them anyway after OP?
Feeling really bloated and swollen don't think christmas has helped but trying to not eat too much.
I want to start on sandrena gel after op.
Thanks for any advice x

I had to stop my HRT a month before my hysterectomy to reduce the risk of blood clots. All hospitals seem to have a different policy on this. I'd check with the hospital where you are having it done. If you look at the HRT  information leaflet that may mention how long you should stop before major surgery.i then had to wait a month after the op before restarting it.

Good luck with the hysterectomy and look after yourself. Rest rest rest!
