I can feel a tender spot burning on my L buttock but to touch with a finger I can't locate the area.  Clothing rubs though so I am aware of it all the while.

OH! hope not - probably a nerve, burning under the skin.  Not hot on top.  Will get Himself to have a Close Look Later  ;)

That isn't it  >:( Blasted sore spot has kept me awake most of the night  :-\.  If I touch the buttock it doesn't reproduce the soreness.  DH has looked closely with his jewellers' loop, nowt of note. 

But it is SORE to touch: knickers, sheet, towel.  Maybe a small ingrowing hair?  Or a really really tiny spot?  Or something trying to escape from within  :o ?

Answers on a post card. Please.

Thing with boils clkd,they start quite deep don't they?Or even a spot,is it just a small patch that's sore,not like the whole buttock?

A tiny tiny area.  Can't even pin point it  :-\.  Not hot to touch.  Could be an ingrowing hair.
