Ok so I was given these to take as can't get my evoral patches.. how do i take it. It says on the prescripon to take I pump daily and 1 pill daily but then reading the instructions it says take 2 pumps and 2 pills for 14 days in so confused. Please can some one explain to me in simple terms how best to take this I can't ring the Dr back as he had no idea what planet he was on let alone hrt... also I've read I can use the oral utrogestan vaginally is this true?? Anyway I would appreciate any help

Hi I was on evorel conti. I have all my parts lol I'm 51 and had gone about 6 months with no period before starting hrt  which I've been on now for about a year..

Hi so the equivalent to Evorel Conti would've 2 pumps of Oestrogel daily and 100mg of Utrogestan every night. You can use the Utrogestan orally or vaginally .

Did you get bleeding on the Evorel Conti? I ask that as you were only 6 months period free when you started it and you usually have to be 12 months period free.

You may find you need more or less Oestrogel as the delivery of the oestrogen is different to tablet form. You could also get breakthrough bleeding for the first 6 months.

Hi sorry I have just read the patch to double check it defo says evorel conti so don't know why I put sequil before. Yes on the patch I did have a bleed for about a week so can i take the above advice many thanks dotty

Hi did you have 2 different patches in the box of patches? What does it say on the box? X

Yes there was 2 different patches  x I chuck the box and just leave them in the order of date of what to take. So i still need a monthly bleed  I hope this helps you. X

Hi that's Evorel Sequi if there are 2 different patches.

Therefore you take the Utrogestan 200mg on days 15  - 26 of your cycle. You apply the Oestrogel the same.....2 pumps.

This should give you a monthly bleed. X

Oh great ok now I get that so sorry if this is a stupid question but when and how will I know when day 15 of my cycle is. Im so ignorant to this time of my life the more I read about it the more it confuses me again thank you dotty x oh and is the gel 2 pumps every day. And is it better morning and night or just 2 pumps once daily sorry for all the questions x

Yes the gel is 2 pumps every day applied at the sam time. I use it in the morning.

The first day of your period would be day 1 so you start counting from then. Or count the first day of Oestrogel as day 1. Whatever date you start the utrogestan, start it on the same date very month. That makes it easier to remember x

Ok brilliant I think I've got it  regarding that... now for this last bit if I take the utrogestan vaginally it does say orally but like I have seen some people use it vaginally how would I put the pill up? Again thank you xx

I have always used the utrogestan orally, but I believe if you are using it vaginally, then you just push it as high as you can with your finger. X

No problem.....remember it's 200mg of utrogestan (2 capsules) for 12 days
