Depending on where you live, garden centres often have 'artisan' beers, cheeses, ciders ......... maybe a small hamper of foods that he wouldn't normally buy?  I know a warehouse that sells over 300 different foreign lagers and beers  .  The place is HUGE!

I had a boyfriend once a long time ago who gave me a wicker chair for Christmas like the one
he'd seen Solitaire/ Jane Seymour sit in in the film 'Live and let Die' when she did card readings.
I hadn't asked for one. It was......' unusual'. I never sat in it.

My DH used to buy me clothes he thought ' I ' would like...polo tops from gap....not really
my grungy odd sock wearing self.

So yes maybe I will buy him the new Mary Berry cookbook, 'Hunks Around the House calendar 2020 and
