I am on HRT but has made little difference to my gut, sadly.

Wolfie, I think I'm on day 42 of stomach issues, and will see my doctor in two weeks to see what further testing can be done. It's is strange to think it can be menopausal related. I'm also losing weight, which is not good when you don't have a weight problem to start with. And to top it all off I'm now bleeding when I poo, I'm assuming internal  Hemorrhoids, not my first time with this problem . Just another thing to add to the list and to put up with.
Keep us posted on how your ultrasound and breath test go.

Wolfie - I had a good 2-3 years of gut/stomach/wind/pain issues in the first few years of Peri. Went through all the GP hoops - ultrasound/bloods etc, saw a specialist. Was told it was IBS probably caused by hormone /anxiety fluctuations. I am now 4 years into Peri and my stomach is much better but other Meno symptoms have replaced it!

Hi wolfie, I have the same and have recently had accompanied stomach pains.  My GP said it was gastritis caused by peri.  Now added to my lengthening list of peri symptoms !!!  It came on quite suddenly as well.
