I haven't been on this site for sometime but I know it is the place to come when you need advice.
I am in my late fifties and have been happily taking Elleste Duet 2mg for several years having a small period for 2 or 3 days every month. In June I was unable to get my usual sequential HRT tablets due to the shortage and so I saw a doctor who told me that at my age I should be on continuous combined HRT and prescribed Kliofem 2mg.
I have been taking Kliofem for 3 months and have been bleeding continuously. I am having lots of hot flushes in the day and night sweats, I have no energy, I don't feel like doing much, I feel negative most of the time, my hair is still shedding, my head is foggy and generally I don't feel very good.
The doctor didn't give me any advice on what to expect when changing from sequential to continuous and if I had known how I would feel and would be bleeding every day I would have resisted changing.
Are there any ladies who have been in this situation like me and what did you do to sort things out?
I know I have to go back to the doctor ( can never see the same one which doesn't help) but what should I be asking for? Should I ask for a blood test, higher dose, change back?
If I go armed with information then maybe I can get sorted.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
