What time you plating up, sounds lovely  8)

We have bottled sun-dried tomatoes in oil in our pantry which DH drains and cuts to add to recipes.  He used to do a cheese on pitta bread with sun dried on top but it was too rich for me.  We grow chillies and I have managed to get 2 plants through thus far from May.

When did you last shop for real food ?  Most meat products are clearly marked especially when purchased from a butchers' shop.  You are missing my point  >:(

Cheese on pita bread sounds good. I love sundried tomatoes! Great you are growing things. I have rhubarb growing like mad in my garden.. :)

  I HATE rhubarb  ;D it was the first plant that we pulled up.  We have always grown fruit and veg., from my Gt Gt Grand-parents on both sides.  My first crop was cress on a damp flannel on the window sill.

This is delicious:
 Lentil stew on mashed potato.

190g dry lentils
1 large onion
2 cloves garlic
3tbsp white wine ( optional)
720 ml veg stock
135g mushrooms
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tsp thyme, oregano and or parsley. Whatever you have.

Heat oil, add onion, garlic, mushrooms, herbs... fry ... add vinegar, soy sauce, white wine, add washed/drained lentils (I like green French lentils, but whatever you like) , add veg stock, simmer 20 mins or until lentils cooked.
Serve like a stew on mashed potatoes or rice if you prefer.
So nice and so easy plus an excellent source of protein! X

This is such a well explained article from another thread, in case anyone has missed it. It also has some great recipe ideas at the bottom..

Frozen bananas are a great base for homemade ice cream, super creamy without needing actual cream. I’ve tried a similar version with coconut milk and a bit of maple syrup, and it turned out really rich and flavorful. Mango and raspberries are a great combo.
For anyone looking to make whipped toppings for desserts, nang delivery in Melbourne is super convenient. It’s a quick way to get cream chargers for making fluffy, dairy-free whipped cream at home.
