Can anyone tell me how long it takes for any HRT to leave your system
I am hoping the Evoral Conti which made my hair shed will be out of my system now, after about 3 weeks, as still shedding slightly but much less

Sorry don't know the answer.

But the hair loss struggle is real. I'm prone to it so if any med mentions it as a possible side effect, my follicles say yes please we're up for some shedding.
Have it now and don't know if it's O gel or Testogel causing it. Flippin hormones make me moany.

Hi TD, just wanted to mention re hair loss. Have you had your thyroid function checked and also iron levels? It’s good to get these ruled out as problems with either can cause hair to thin and fall out. Just a thought?! X

I have had thyroid checked and that's one thing I don't have thank goodness.

I have suffered from anaemia before so doc keeps an eye on my bloodwork which I have done regularly.

Turkish Delight,i had slight hair loss for about 6 months then suddenly a lot of hairloss, while on livial,which i didn't think was the cause as i took it years ago, bot after having night sweats still my Dr put me back on it, when i had hair loss this time ,i didn't connect it with the livial, and thought it could be stress related as had a lot of stress last year,especially after a relationship breakup
I decide to stop the livial after my Dr said more oestrogen would help with hair loss
Unfortunately he gave me Evoral Conti, and as had read one of the side effects was hir loss i said i was worried about taking it, but he just all HRT gives it as a side effect
I decided to give it a try, but with 4 weeks my hair had lost loads more and now i have large almost bald patches which show my scalp clearly
I have had thyroid tests and i have Haemochromatosis which is iron overload ,but my ferritin has been consistently low, so blamed that although i am told it is normal range
Anyway had all tests so it looks like it could still be stress,but the E C definitely made it worse
I just wondered if the E C would be out of my system and hopefully would stop the shedding

Ok, good you've ruled out those.

Another possibility of course is the change of hormones throughout the menopause. I'm not sure how bad your hair loss is, but it might be androgenic alopecia. This is caused by a dominance of male hormones and can cause increased facial hair.
By including more phytoestrogens in your diet eg soya and chickpeas and lignans eg flaxseeds.. these help your body control excess male hormones. Just incase it might be that?!
Stress is another one that I'm sure you're aware of.. x
