Are these symptoms menopause
« on: August 07, 2019, 09:27:14 PM »

Hi ladies
My last period was 10 years ago age 47. I have only used Vagina therapies and didn't have too much trouble with sweats which is what I thought the menopause would bring. I now have VA and lichen sclerosis and recently had some bleeding after sex which I have had in the past if I'm not using a hormonal vaginal treatment. I am waiting now for a biopsy as womb is 5mm and should be 3mm apparently. I had one of these before and it was horrendous. Anyway I have gone back onto Ovestin and the bleeding didn't happen last time I had sex. When I came off the Ovestin six months ago I started having bad attacks of palpitations, really scary. I've had 48 hour and 7 day monitor with nothing found. I have noted them down and they seem to come monthly now wondering if these could be yet another symptom of menopause!  I never anticipated this as you only hear of hot flushes and mood swings don't you?

Hi Gsha.  :welcomemm:.....good to have you on board....

Yes sounds very much like symptoms to me...everything  dries out through lack of oestrogen.  :-\
At least nothing bad was found by using the monitor, but palps are still scary aren't they....
The thing is, most of us didn't know a thing about meno, and like you, thought it was just going to be sweats and a bit if moodiness, how wrong was we?  :-\.....there is symptom after symptom, the list goes on, take a look at the symptoms at the top of the page, it's unbelievable...
I don't have VA ( at the moment, thank god) but you have to keep treating it, always, else it comes back, hence the bleeding....
Keep posting, someone's always on to offer advice and support...
Good luck with everything....
