Hello everyone

Some advice please. Am a month into HRT -2 daily pumps of Oestrogel. To be honest am not sure how it's going as am feeling pretty rubbish at the mo, anxiety is through the roof. But I know I have to persevere so persevere I will!

Thing is, am due to start on the Utrogestan on Thursday which I am really dreading as don't want to feel any worse. Having read various posts on here regarding side effects I am considering taking it vaginally to keep them to a minimum. As I am using Estriol cream vaginally twice a week am wondering if it's ok to add the Utrogestan too? Does anyone else do this?

Am assuming that as no response to my question that no on else has used Estriol cream and Utrogestan vaginally at same time.?

So I guess i'll Have to go for taking it orally and see how I go.

Westie, I think some ladies do. Not myself, I'm off everything at the moment.
But I think I've read on here that ladies who use both, use the E cream in the vag in the morning, and then use the U tabs in the vag in the evening.
Hopefully someone who does that will come along in the next few days to confirm.

Hi westie

I use Vagifem and vag Utro - so when on Utro as I am now, and as pants says, I pop the Vagifem approx 12 hours later. However Vagifem is different from the estriol cream in that it's a small tablet designed to stick to the vaginal walls whereas the cream gloops about in the vaginal area. From what I recall someone had advice from a specialist doc that it was fine to use both  (Vagifem and vag Utro) although as far as I know there hasn't been any research on this and how absorption of eg the progesterone could be affected? I haven't looked recently though so could be wrong re research!
