I was put on it about 7 years ago.  It took a while to kick in (flushes went within 2 weeks though) but it has been really good for me.  No problems.

Hi Roobee - something positive to say here - Evorel Conti was the only form of systemic HRT I could tolerate for any length of time & I used it on & off for 2 years, only trialling alternatives because I absorbed it poorly so didn't get complete symptom resolution.  I did have intermittent postmenopausal bleeding for the entire time I used it, but that may have been unrelated as my GP thought an ovarian cyst I later had removed may have been behind that.  I started with half a patch for a few weeks to keep any initial side effects to a minimum as it was my first systemic HRT & I was 3 years postmenopause at the time.  I found it stayed on well & I had no probs with the progestogen it contains, though I've been unable to tolerate the "gold standard" more natural Utrogestan.  Many women do get on well with EC, so if you are new to it, please don't be put off by anything negative you may have read.  There is every chance it will be right for you & I hope you do well on it.  :)

Have you just started it? I started in April. No changes yet. There does seem to be an availability issue at the moment.

Hi Roobee
Yes I've been using evorel conti for 3 years. It's okay, it was the only HRT I could tolerate. I tried a few before including oestrogel and utrogestan When I first used evorel conti I cut the patch in half and built up slowly, as I had a few side effects in the beginning, including stomach cramps.
Hope you get on okay with it

Thank you. I asked about cutting it in half and Doc said I couldn't ☹️ I have had these patches for a while now and have been scared to try them (so stupid but I worry about the side effects)
I have awful anxiety and I wonder if I have convinced myself that this is menopause when it isn't, I just don't know 🙈
I've read so much about them causing anxiety and palpitations and I REALLY don't need any more of that!

Was that a GP who said you couldn't? The consultant at the Meno Clinic specifically told me to use half patches. I experimented with a full patch last week and did feel a bit off (stomach discomfort/mild nausea). I have returned to half patches but last week may have been a coincidence. I haven't had any anxiety with them at all.

Roo I had to change to Everol as Femseven not available, they do not cope as well as F7 with my night sweats/flushes I do get more  :'( but they still help stop day sweats/flushes, and now there appears to be a problem getting them, so hoping in 3 months this is solved..

On a personal note, if I did not get hot sweats I wouldn't take HRT..but other ladies use it for lots of different problems, might be worth giving it a go.. :-*

There are lots of other reasons for trying HRT. I have never had a problem with night sweats/hot flushes but i am trying it to help with VA, aching joints/muscles, prevention of osteoporosis as well as heart health.

I don't get sweats, just paralysing headaches, stomach issues and dizziness. Was getting to the stage at certain times I couldn't function atall. HRT hasn't cured everythimg, but its made a massive difference to me

Hi Roobee
You definitely can cut those patches in half. I suffered from very bad anxiety and headaches before HRT. I feel a lot better now on the patches. It does take a bit of time and it is  scary. I was worried I wasn't on the best HRT. I've tried a few but the patches are fine for me. Hope you get on okay
