Hi Catkins, if you do a search for palpitations/flutters you can read my experience with them. 😬

Found it Bluebell put heart first.thankyou so much for that I know they are the worst thing for me like yourself I am 4-5 years post menopause. Think I might have to cut out chocolate as I don't drink, stopped that when I started with these as it made it worse. Can go a week or so with none then get them regular daily. When do they stop ?'thankyou once again Catkins xx

Hi Catkins, omg that is so like me.

I'm still having my couple of squares of dark chocolate I did stop it for a little while but it made no difference.

Like you I think how long is this going to go on?

I've tried lots of things magnesium, calcium, various herbal treatments but just when you think maybe they've gone - back they come!!

Now when I get them I wait to see if they'll go away but if they carry on through the night or all day I eventually take a propanolol beta blocker which puts them away.

If you find anything that helps let me know and I'll do the same. 😉 x

Hi Catkins, i have had these since i entered the menopause at age 53, (now 61). I can have them for weeks at a time and then they go as quick as they came. I have them at the moment and i am going into my 5th week with them. Can get 2-3 together or long gaps between each ectopic beat. Had all the tests and nothing abnormal found. I have been on Betablockers (Bisoprolol) for years and it doesn't stop them. Hope this helps. xx

Thankyou so much ladies X don't know what I'd do without this site. It's not nice ectopic beats but it helps to know we are not on our own going through this. Like you ladies I've give up lots of things as well as trying lots, but not made any difference. Had all the test and told its not harmful. Just feel scared sometimes when it happens. Thankyou Bluebell and jgr xxxx
