What time to you get out of bed, do you work? I suspect that if you ate at a more 'regular' time your sleep disorder would eventually catch up. If the body is hungry it won't sleep! Sometimes I have to get up to munch around 1.30
I don't go to sleep hungry! - last meal is 3.30am and I go to sleep at 6am, wake at 12.30pm. I work part-time from home.
I have had this sleep issue since my teens, although it progressed over the years until I was no longer able to work (or keep) conventional hours. I ate at 'normal' times for many years and it made no difference whatsoever, I now eat to fit with my disorder or I would be awake at night, starving for hours on end. Anyway, for people with circadian disorders (as with shift work) it is generally recommended you stick with a routine to fit your this cycle or you will become ill.
