Evorel 25
« on: April 18, 2019, 11:30:13 AM »

Hi There Ladies
I have started evorel 25 for the last two weeks and for the first time in a long time I've felt great, skin soft, hot flushes gone, anxiety gone. But over the last few weeks it just feels like it has stopped working, I have tried every kind of HRT and I am intolerant of progestrerone so I have that every three months for two weeks to help protect my womb. I tried adding half evorel patch to the 25mg I was wearing but it gave me heart palpitations and like an andrenal rush, could I try a quarter of a patch ? Why has it stopped working? Any advice ladies I am 50 years old and have tried
elleste 2mg kiloflem evorel sequi, estrogel and every herbal product on the market
Thanks Ladies

Hi, that's exactly what happened to me, I started on a 50 patch and felt great for 2 months about 90% better and then it just wasn't working as well.
I have tried adding half a patch but it's difficult to get it spot on like you say a bit too much and other things occur.
You could try a quarter see how you go?
I have added bits and ripped them off if it's too much.
Sorry I don't have the answer I've been trying to find it for 3 years!! x

AnnieR  Can't help about progesterone part, as I've had a surgical menopause, sounds like you need to up the strength, as you go through peri & menopause your oestrogen keeps declining, so you will find that the dose needs to be upped, but seeing as you've tried maybe something else you're taking is causing a problem. I would go and see your GP.
I started on everol 25 - can't remember how long for - went up to 50 was on this for 4-6 months then went to 75 but only for 4 months tried tibolone didn't help so now on 100 for just under 3 months.

I took the 25 mg patch off.... I'm just going to see how I am for a few days without it... if that doesn't work I will put a quarter of the patch back on and see if it helps... wow,,, this menopause is a mine field... on the brighter side though it's given me a lot to write about in my next novel called hot flushes :D :D :D :D
I will keep you updated ladies and thanks for your reply... its so hard to find something that works GP googles everything when you go and see them not much help at all.....

Annie yes 100mg seems to suit me at the moment. How long have you been on 75? It can take 2-3 months to get full effect, so it's worth waiting. I wouldn't worry about the GP they should prefer you to go and get advice and discuss options rather than struggling through.

Shows you how tired I was posting in reply to twarno and I put Annie, sorry ladies, but it would have helped you as well Annie ;D

I am on Evorel 25 and once mentioned to a doctor about maybe adding an extra half patch occasionally but he said no as you are suppose to get a steady consistent dose for it to have correct effect, agree though sometimes you just feel its not absorbing.

Hi Ladies
Patch is back on Evorel 25... I've been on it for nearly three weeks and just feel like I've come this far and want to see if I can actually get a grip of these hormones. nearly three weeks is the longest I've ever done on HRT. The GP has given me Testosterone gel too but I had to week 2 week so the oestrogen kicked in before I added one pump of it... has anyone else used Testerone gel? Anyway evorel 25 back on and a positive attitude to hope it makes a difference. I seem to get a adrenal rush for the first day of patch and then it calms down? Anyone else get this?

Yes, I'm on testosterone which has helped with libido, motivation and muscles (I was pulling them far too easily). I think you're supposed to get your oestrogen levels sorted out before you start on it though.
