Hey ladies , my Angeliq hrt has been discontinued  . and I have been prescribed femoston conti 0.5/2.5
 The estradiol is half the dose I've been used to takin, I was wondering if anyone has topped up their estradiol with gel, which I have ? Thoughts and suggestions please.

Hi Bljezard.
I'm on femoston conti, and I did top up with Sandrena gel, but I was on 1.1/2mg, then. I used 1/2. ....or sometimes 1mg of the gel, to top up...all was great at first, but then I started bleeding, went for a scan, all was ok, so can only put it down to not enough progesterone....it must have tipped the balance...
If I were you, I'd just double up the Femoston Conti, because then at least you'll know your getting enough progesterone too.......I messed up with adding in Sandrena, the bleed was really painful too, so that's what I do now, I double up the Femoston....

As Jillydoll says you could double up for the time being then ask your GP or whoever prescribed the Femoston Conti Ultra Low to change it to Femoston Conti 1mg/5mg next time.  If you only have a one month pack you will need the new script PDQ though!

Thankyou for your reply ladies.
 I had thought of doubling up tabs but have dreadful breast  pain with a larger dose of progesterone. But may well give it a go.
I have had a endometrial abalation done so very unlikely to bleed but don't like the sound of the pain and discomfort with the added estriol gel.☹️
