I think the alternative in your situation is to switch from a combined product, where the ratio of estrogen/progesterone is fixed, to separate elements which are easier to tweak to get the right balance for you. Many women on here use estrogen in the form of either patches or gel, combined with progesterone, which might be continuous or sequential, depending on what suits you best. I think the available options for separate progesterone are quite limited - Utrogestan (can be taken orally or vaginally) is bio-identical, but that apparently means you need a much higher dose, and many women suffer side effects. Provera is available orally, and as a synthetic progestin needs a much lower dosage to be effective. I'm sure there are others I'm not aware of; also some women find the Mirena coil, which gives out a small but continuous and localised dose of levonorgestrel (one of the synthetic progesterones) works very well. Sorry if that's too much information to take in, but it is a very complicated area and there's no 'one size fits all' solution.
