I used to throw things.  Never anything expensive though!

HRT isn't the Beall and Endall.  It can ease symptoms.  But maybe appropriate medication to ease anxiety and depression as well as a good diet - eat every 3 hours which can relieve some anxiety surges - as well as exercise might help.

Let us know both!

Thanks Dotty. I made the decision today to stop altogether as the shortness of breath was getting worse, so I ripped the patch off.  I can put up with the flushes but that one symptom was getting me down  Will see how I go over the next few weeks xx

Oh Birdy, sorry to hear that you are having such a bad time. Please let me know how you're getting on. We can support each other through this, along with all of the other ladies on here!

I'm going to give it a few weeks to see if my symptoms ease and if they don't I will see the doctor again to ask for some more tests and I would even consider taking the antidepressants again if necessary  I'm also going to keep exercising regularly and eat little and often as CLKD advises. Take care Birdy and I hope it eases soon for you. Jules x

I'm scared of that too Birdy but I went to see a friend earlier who said she just stopped taking HRT suddenly and was fine, so I ripped the patch off there and then! That was only about 4 hours ago so hard to tell which way it's going to go. I certainly don't feel any worse yet😁.

I know it's very early days though so will keep you posted x

Thanks Stellajane. Do you mean we can continue to use the Oestrogen patch or gel on it's own? I'm going to have a break from both for at least 2 weeks though I think x

Stop looking for problems?

Why would VA be worse?   :-\. It is delivered in a different area specifically.  Not related to other types of HRT at all.  Some ladies do require both but others use 'sylc' or 'yes' products along side appropriate oestrogen replacement.  I use KY Jelly when necessary, i.e. if I get dry and itchy, as well as Ovestin.

If you are worried about symptoms becoming worse then use more VA treatment?

Ah right, sorry. I haven't suffered from that yet. Just about everything else though, but not VA.  Thanks x
