It used to go........'have you seen that .............' who was the barmaid,
Which was a man talking to another man and they went phurrr or something.
She was big busted gal, like I say, only in the 70s/80s....lol.

Ok I'll tell..............it's just horrible, apologies to anyone else called it, (doubt it though)

                        Doreen.........there! I've said it!!......🤮

I was surrounded by Debra's, Sharon's and Tracey's at school, I think the 1960's, when I was born,  were awful for names, mine isn't one of those but I have always hated it as I always thought it was a bit old lady, I have probably grown into it now though ;D
I had a friend who called her daughter Mabel, when I had my son in 2001, but I have noticed there are more of the old fashioned names around, heard of an Edith recently.

It's not that bad!  i have heard it pronounced D'reen which sounds better than the drawn out Dooooreeeen.

In my year at school we had about 6 Janes, a couple of Janices, several Annes, loads of Susans and Christines.  We had names like Monica, Marilyn, Glynis, Janet, Joan and Heather.
