Oh Kalinka - that brings back memories - tinned fruit & evap with bread & butter! Dad always had bread & butter with tinned fruit - actually with everything - roast dinner too. Mum said went back to when he was a kid in a family of 7 kids & there wasn't enough to go round so everyone ate cheap b&b with everything rather than go hungry.
He also spread Fussell's condensed milk on bread & butter! And drank that dreadful Camp coffee that was 9 parts chicory!

Eek!! My mother visited an elderly lady every week (the mother of a friend) and I used to go with her in the school holidays. She always gave us a cup of Camp coffee and a slice of sponge cake with jam and cream filling.
Kunzle cakes, anyone?

I've got a vague memory of making milkshakes with Delrosa rosehip syrup.

Oh yes I remember sherbet dips, also going to the shop and buying black jacks & fruit salads for half penny each - those were the days.
They were saying on the radio this morning about how millennials haven't heard/had certain desserts like rum baba, jelly & ice cream, rhubarb crumble, spotted dick.

Yes remember black jacks & fruit salads & sherbert dips - you beat me to it posting about those! Anyone remember flying saucers - the rice paper ones filled with sherbert? And rhubarb & custard sweets or cola cubes?
