What should we call ourselves when we March on parliament?

 This is a lighthearted post but

it was brought about by another thread i which brought up the issue of how we might make a difference in the way we are treated by GP's other docs and ppl in general and if we could take positive action.

It's a serious matter I am very interested in  and one I'm feeling more and more from our collective experiences that needs addressing.

Don't know if I'm being forward here as I'm relatively new to forum but it's a thought.

In the meantime, the same thread brought up a lighter note as well and in the spirit of our shared gallows humour....

What would we call ourselves if we marched on parliament?

I have an 80 year old friend who is a "Fracking granny".

Don't think we want granny in the title.. correct me if I'm wrong.

What about reclaiming negative name calling and turning it around ..as in..

"Wet knicker brigade"?

 Maybe not what we want to see on the news.

Or my own idea What about "meno warriers"

What do you all think?

My youngest son sometimes refers to me as 'ASBO Granny'. Even though I not a granny yet.

Ah yes Tc....meno activism...I'd be up for it.  Surely a few thousand menopausal women marching on Parliament might put Brexit into perspective! 

Defo no "grannies" in the title although I am one! with 4 little grandsons and another on the way! oh and probably nothing about knickers the 10 o'clock news would never let us on!   I'm no good with names but taking that other thread from Knockmany and her useless GP (porn hub indeed!) ....ever heard of the game about how you work out your porn star name....You take the name of your first pet as your first name and then add the name of the street you grew up in as your second name.  I'm Sasha Sandringham!

I'm sure someone has a cracker up their sleeve!

Hey Shadyglade - wow your son is a well mannered chap, if that's all he has managed - my 2 sons and 3 step-daughters are definitely not as restrained!  What they say about me is unrepeatable!  ;D

Haha please repeat. My porn star name is tinker Columbia.
Think we need a collective name if we might end up on the news.
But if we get arrested we could use our pornstars names. I always thought if I got arrested I would say my name was Emily pankhurst.
Not been arrested yet. Always talked my  way out of it  lol

I am off to Parliament today with a group of ladies all bought together by Diane Danzibrink of menopause support, Dr Newson & some others will be there for a “ round table “ discussion. It's from Diane's campaign & petition to “ Make Menopause Matter” . I'm there re VA & the impact it can have on women in the workplace.

Good luck Maryjane I really hope it goes well. If they take on board what's  said so many lives could be transformed and money currently being wasted on costly unnecessary investigations could be put to much better use giving us all access to decent menopause care.

Thank you for all your hard work along with the other ladies involved. I really appreciate what you are doing xx

Hey Maryjane - please say there are loads of disaffected women who would like to do something but don't know what!  How exciting and good luck..... oh and if you see Dominic Grieve whilst you are there, would you punch him on the nose and tell him he is a idiot from me!!! (regarding brexit of course!)

Put the word menopause in it and every man would run a mile! but put the word "Hot" into something associated with women, their "bits" get their attention!! ;D
