It's the tannin in the tea which could apparently irritate my bladder 😳 ??

Caffeine certainly irritates the bladder, and tea and coffee, with or without caffeine, are both quite acidic. I think it's both the acidity and the caffeine that are the culprits. Do you like rooibos tea? As well as being caffeine free, I believe it's alkaline. And I use it for dunking no probs  ;)

During the first few weeks until the vagifem starts hydrating and plumping the tissues you will get some go systemic. I had tender breasts, period like cramps and nausea, all this settled after a few weeks. Try decaffeinated tea and coffee, I drink this all the time.
