Food intolerances after meno
« on: December 24, 2018, 06:53:35 PM »

Has anyone else developed food intolerances after menopause? I have recently begun to suffer from vestibular migraines (suffered all my adult life with common migraines - UNTIL the menopause) - these seem to be strongly linked to diet ( chocolate, coffee, alchohol, fizzy drinks, dried fruit).

Yep, all the joys of getting older.
I had loads, but they've settled down a bit lately, but I know it'll start up again,
it's done it before.
Onions and garlic and fruit are the worst for me.
Would be wouldn't they, their my favourites.........lol

Hi Jemp. Yes I have had to reduce / cut out friend food and bread and they play havoc with my digestive system - wind both ends etc! Ditto alcohol. Don't  eat bread any more , just gluten free. Had probs in Peri with loose stools, told IBS but I think hormones played a part. Now have porridge for breakfast most days . On holiday when I eat anything the old problems come back.

Thanks ladies- I suspected that this was another menopause symptom. I really thought I'd got through it unscathed!!
