Prescribed utrogestan and estraderm
« on: December 19, 2018, 01:24:28 PM »

Hi
I was finally told at the hospital on Monday that due to the damage caused to my cervix by the ablation that even under a general anaesthetic they didn't think they could access my uterus to examine it or fit a mirena. They are therefore prescribing me with estraderm 25mg and utrogestan 200mg to trial before referring me to the nearest menopause clinic. The utrogestan is to be taken for 12 days of my cycle. I was just wondering whether I need to use the full dose for this long if I use it vaginally, especially with such a low dose of estraderm? They told me that my scan showed that my uterine lining is very thin due to the ablation so they don't really expect me to have a withdrawal bleed either. Thanks for any advice xx
