« on: December 17, 2018, 10:14:38 PM »

Hi
I'm wondering if anyone can help me , I've been in everol conti for around 7/8months at the beginning it help but last few months it was helping at all , doc changed me to elstele patch which I couldn't get as no chemist had it in stock said they were having trouble getting it , went back to doc who put me onto Femoston pill which give me bad side effects so have been took if that and back into everol conti , went to pick prescription up from chemist only to be told they can't get it now either !!!
I'm 9days with out any hrt abd I'm feeling worse than ever , does anyone one what patch I could ask my doc for ? It's clear that I can't use hrt pill as I've tried around 4/5 different Ines and nine suited me so looks like patch suits me better
My doc is clueless like myself regarding hrt so I'm looking to see if any in you guys can recommend a conti patch ??
I'm 4 yrs post menopause 51 yrs old and at minute I'm feeling 91 yrs old 🙈

Thanks
Kaz

Hi Karen

Have you tried an oestrogen only (such as Estradot) patch with separate progesterone (such as Utrogestan) alongside?

Many ladies get along famously on this regime - just remember to take the Utrogestan before bed as it can be very sedating. If you find you can't tolerate it orally daily, you can always use it vaginally, or even drop back to a sequential regime xx

Hi Northarm
I think my doc is going crazy 😜 I've been on everol conti for 7/8months but they were not helping me after around 5 months of taking them so went back to doc asked to be changed to different patch . She give me estroel (that's not spelt right ) anyway no chemist had them they said they couldn't get them as there was issues with them sticking so doc she me Femoston pill which after around 7 days the side effects were awful ..
Went back to doc she changed me back onto evrol conti again and next the chemist couldn't get them so I've been waiting over a week on a patch . Foned doc today they said they were waiting on labs getting back to them to see what was closest patch to everol conti ..
After 5 pm my prescription was delivered from chemist arrived and it's ...Femseven ???
I've never heard of this hrt so I so confused what the he'll is going on but I'm going stick one on now and it will stay there for a week , il phone doc in morning to see what the hell is going on 😡

Do you know anything Femseven ?

It's really driving me crazy I've been trying for 4 yrs to get the right hrt

Hi Karen, just wanted you to know that Femseven are a well known type & are listed on this website her:
https://www.menopausematters.co.uk/postmeno.php

I'm on the Femoston ultra low dose & they suit me well.

Dancing queen
I'm so confused my doc don't seem to know what happening , I'm going phone chemist in morning ask if they are running low on stock as I don't want to start them incase next month I can't get them because no chemist can get hold of them ..
Can't understand why I've been given them when doc told me she was putting me back onto everol conti which was helping me much but was feeling better than I do now after 2 weeks with out any hrt ..
no wonder people are confused about hrt if doc acts like this 😡

I will definitely give them a go if the chemist can assure me in morning that supply of them each month will be fine as the evrol continwas helping me much at all

Hers hoping these are the ones I've been waiting on for past 4 yrs
I will let you know what chemist says about the stock ect but I'm in Ireland so maybe here has stock ?

Holy moly such confusion my head is confused enough with out docs adding more confusion 😜🙈😜

I know how you feel Karen, my doc tried to put me on AD`s which I didn`t want, I went to another doc and said I want hrt and she had to look it up in a book!! She chose femseven sequi at random which luckily worked for me but now I`m stressing that when mine run out in about 6 weeks I`ll have to start again. may have to have a trip to Ireland to get some!.. good excuse for a holiday lol. Hope you get on ok xx

Karen I think you may get on well with Femseven, I have used them for around 9years ( I am 69 ) but like Dancing Queen I am in a panic as UK pharmacy's are out of stock, I have just picked up my prescription for Femseven and i am going to try the little pharmacy that had them 3months ago, and a few more within 20 miles again, if no luck, not sure what to do other that try Oestrogen only patch, and maybe us Utrogestan vaginally, I am also 'thinking' about giving Everol Conti another go, tried them 10years ago but had dreadful headaches and nausea due to progesterone in them, but maybe after 10years my body may cope with them, so fed up we only have 2 choices of Conti patches >:(

I know you have only had patch on 24 hours but do you feel 'any' difference at all?.

My main Meno problem has always been hot sweats, the Femseven stopped day one's and helped make night one's less intense, are one of your problems hot sweats? xxx

Dancing queen , Rosebush
I stuck the patch on this morning and around 45 mins later I have phone call from my local chemist asking me if I'd used a patch yet ?
Told her yeah just stuck it in 45 mins ago 🙈.. " take it of right away "

There is a problem with them we can't get hold of them I don't even know how my chemist ended up with the box you got yesterday !!!

Bloody holy moly what is going on ?
So I'm now waiting on the lab worker in my GP surgery making a decision tomorrow morning to see what patch I end up with ..

Honestly I don't care what the hell they give me now as long as it helps a bit as this is just running on too long and I'm ready for screaming

If I hear any more regarding Femseven I will let's yous know

Karen. I phoned 8 local chemists to no avail. I actually told them about the shortage!! I found one who had some but my scrip was only for 3 months so he said he will save me the rest. I thought that was pretty helpful but seeing as I've been told it could be many months guess we are gonna have to go onto something else.
I too will let you know if I get anymore info as it was only on here I found out about it.
Best wishes.

Tc so pleased you got some Femseven, and some on hold for you :-*  I am hoping whatever the problem is they can solve it before end of 2019!!

I called at 13 pharmacies took just over 2.5hrs due to traffic none in stock... and have spent over 2hrs ringing other pharmacies, no one has them at all, so blooming fed up, now reading reviews and posts on the forum, to make a list of everything I could use... I see my Gp at 5pm, as I need to cancel my current prescription and request new one.. :'( x
