Fuertaventura and Lanzarote are the best 2 Islands in the Canaries in my opinion

Washington, Tyne and Wear.

We used to shop in a mega store there, when we lived in Northumberland.  It's where George Washington came from and you can visit the house where he was born.

George Washington was at Sulgrove Manor too near Banbury.  Can't remember whether he was born there or lived for a while ........
