Oh that's annoying, Bath is lovely!

Wow I'd not known ct colonoscopy was an option, both of mine had been tube up and full sedation. I'll have another in a couple of years and may ask for that - would mean I could use nhs rather than having to go private which I do so I cam be asleep and not feel any tubes 😳

I was getting the colonoscopy by the nhs in just two weeks but not sure if they would fully sedate me,but had to go private for the scan OR you could get your Dr to refer you for a scan instead, they prefer the oscopy as if anything is detected on the scan you then have to go for the oscopy anyway

When I was first referred under the 2ww, I spoke to the NHS and while they were really kind and helpful, they said it'd be at least another month wait for an appointment with sedation and that they wouldn't allow my husband past reception so I'd be on my own. As someone with health anxiety and OCD I couldn't cope with either of those so used private insurance where they do enhanced sedation (actually asleep) as standard. Glad I did at that time as was told when I woke that I have a very twisty descending colon which they struggled getting through even while I was asleep and would have been impossible when awake. As it was they had to move me into god knows how many positions to get the scope up 😳. So yeah a tube free option would be amazing for me!! I get your point tho about them having to go in again if they see anything and that'd also add to my worry with any waiting time.... I'm such a wuss.... it's a great detection though, just think how you'll feel this time tomorrow, you may have even had some lunch by then!!

Oh I'm with you regarding the sedation, I had very mild sedation having my colonoscopy 5 years ago & tbh I couldn't face that again.

I had decided that 'it' is a tumour on my cheek - a lump began to grow about a week ago.  Wasn't hard. Wasn't squeezable :::  :-\  :::  until last night when suddenly it softened and  :o. Now it's a nasty flat area where a spot was forming  ::). It also had a long black hair which I tweezed out ...........
