Over the moon

After months of seeing my GP who has no idea about menopause, paying to see two supposed private specialists and eventually being forced into secondary mental health services, I've finally got an appointment to see one of Dr Louise Newson's team. Yes I have to travel halfway down the country but I'd walk there naked the way I feel now! Will make a mini break of it.
I finally feel some hope x

That's great, I'm envious! I've just registered interest as they say they are full at the minute, but like you say it's worth it if she/ her team can help. Good luck. I hope things improve for you x

It's Thursday 13 December. They have appointments available with new doctors who have been trained by Louise Newson. Or if you want to see her it's March! X

They have availability with new doctors who have just started and are trained by Louise. I'd give them a ring x

Well done!  It's a lovely place.  You will be in safe hands.  She's been training up other doctors for a while.  There are 2 others with her from the start anyway.  Which one are you seeing?

How funny, I'm due to see Louise on 13th December for my review in the afternoon. 

Stratford is lovely, especially at Christmas.  Make a little holiday of it.

I think I'm seeing someone called Catherine. I was so happy after she told me about the appointment I didn't take it in! She said they're all trained by Louise and prescribe the same medication regimes.

My appointment is 2.30pm to give us time to travel then we are staying over so will have a look.

Excellent news on your appointment. Louise Newson and her team  come highly recommended as you know.

 I'm seeing a private gynae in the South East and when she said that she had worked with Nik Panay I became really excited and expected the most up to date treatment. Unfortunately she then said that she  didn't approve  of using minimal progesterone on a long cycle and didn't agree with Prof Studds regime. To say I was disappointed was an understatement! Just recently though she agreed that I could now try a long regime so it seems that she has changed her mind.

Best of luck for December and please let us know how you get on.

It's such a shame when we think we are paying for the best advice and treatment and don't get it. It's so hit and miss. I hope you're sorted now though.
