very strange experience, the site where my pellet was implanted started pussing a few weeks
ago so I rang the hospital and they dismissed me saying it would be practically dissolved by now
so shouldn't be a problem but it just burst through the scar !  I now have the implant to take
back to the hospital in January when my next implant was due to be fitted,  has anyone experienced
this ?  thanks xxx

OH! Whoops!  I wouldn't be waiting. 

I know that microchips can migrate around dogs in particular and have been known to pop out.

Were you noticing benefit from it?  In the meantime, take a photo of the area, keep a mood/symptom diary to take along!

I wonder if you need a course of antibiotics if the site is infected?

I've found this so it is one of the known "risks"

Testosterone pellets also come with specific health risks. These risks include:

infection of the insertion site
the pellets dislodging and coming out of the skin
incorrect dosage

Mine was put in with a stitch and stayed put. It's now expired and I am on gel as I didn't want another scar. If yours was nearly expired it must have been in for some time before it got infected? Seems a bit odd it would get infected after the cut had healed. It doesn't surprise me it came out with the puss but it shouldn't have got infected in the first place. You need to make sure it's properly cleaned so it will heal, maybe ask your practise nurse if you're not confident doing it yourself.

It completely healed in the summer, I can honestly say I didn't feel one bit different
with it in and Ive googled a picture of what it looks like before it goes in and I don't
think it looks any different !   Im thinking it wasn't put in deep enough for it to
dissolve ?  The site has healed up well now and its a nightmare trying to get an appointment,

I don't know the answer but it's in fat however deep it is so I don't see why it wouldn't dissolve, presumably it was in deep enough you couldn't feel it? Perhaps it's had puss round it for a long time which stopped it dissolving. Pus normally finds it's way to the skin even if it starts deep down. Did you feel the benefits of it?

There is a hormone doctor in the US who I follow.  She uses pellets for oestrogen and testosterone.  She says when they implant them together in a woman they always put the oestrogen pellet in first and the testosterone on top because testosterone pellets do sometimes pop out and if they are under the oestrogen pellet they will take that out with them.

no I didn't feel any benefit, so Im guessing it wasn't in deep enough so it didn't dissolve.
What the name of the us doctor that said they can pop out ?
