So stick with us?  Jot down the responses and filter what isn't appropriate?

As for Canestin - one small tablet up there and I had to sit in a cool bath for 2 hours  :'(

Thanks I will stick here if nobody minds my relentless questions.

I was looking at a testing kit CLKD. There's no way I'm sticking more pessaries up there at the moment.

I'm taking the advice I've been given. Sitting commando under loose joggers. Drinking plenty and I've got some cystitis sachets in the cupboard that I will use, just in case. I've got bicarbonate of soda for bathing and drinking. I've got multi gyn, sylk, ordered yes. No soaps or perfumed stuff in the shower.
No wine. Had some last night and don't know if that's what has made me worse.

So cut ut the wine.  Keep to bland drinks.  Granma swore by bicarb for many things around house and kitchen.

This won't improve immediately.  Allow the product to do the job it's designed to do.

I will. No more wine for me. I can understand wine affecting the bladder and the urethra  but don't know how it can make you more sore inside and outside? If indeed that's what has happened. I wasn't rip roaring drunk or anything mind, I only had two glasses which is about my limit these days.

As an aside: years++ ago I had a half glass of red.  I think that I enjoyed it  :-\. I stood up from the sofa in order to change the channels on the TV and ended up on the wrong side of the room  :-\.  Haven't had a drink since.  I have a sip if DH opens a bottle of something special, otherwise .......

Sadly Blot, the medical profession generally are not clued up about this type of problem. At least now there is local oestrogen and moisturisers. The soreness probably comes from when you were using Caneston and other medication - I think you had antibiotics not long ago? I have spent a fortune on special moisturisers etc that help me to keep myself comfortable.
It can and will get better I'm sure but it will possibly need to be managed.
I find a cup of black tea or half a glass of wine can trigger my burning.    DG x

Hi DG. I only used the caneston once then stopped because it burned.  I had the antibiotics at the end of the first week in August.

I'll just have to get on with it  :(
