Anybody use a dermaroller (for facial lines)?
« on: October 26, 2018, 07:27:30 PM »

Thinking about getting one - the small 0.25 size - lately the lines above my top lip have become a lot more pronounced - hoping this may plump out the skin.

Apparently dermaroller can be used on scalp for hair loss - need to research this more.

Any comments appreciated.

Hi Night Owl

I've never tried dermaroller but did have hifu (non surgical facelift) for my birthday. It's not cheap, but tightens collagen from within and so is a natural approach x

Hi Night owl,

Never used a dermal roller but all I can recommend is......a good facial oil and upward strokes massage on face to promote circulation may have the same effect, I have used and can recommend No7 Protect and Pefect serum since 2007 along with a nice rich moisturiser day and night and definitely use a facial  suncream factor 30+ uva/uvb everyday!  This may soften any fine lines you have and stop anymore in their tracks.  Oh and 'The Ordinary' brand do an effective gentle retinol oil that doesn't irritate skin.  Healthy oils in nuts and avocado will also promote healthy skin along with obviously lots of colourful fruit and veg.  I've also reduced the amount of added sugar I eat!  You may do all of these things anyway!!😄

Thanks All for input.

Retin A - I keep reading about this.  I've got The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid, will take a squint at Pharmacy Geoff.

Think I may buy a derma roller and try it v.carefully - cleaning it carefully and cleansing face before and after.

Yeh, I've watched lots of tutorials on Youtube, feeling it may be worth the risk ...

Non-surgical facelift, must google that.

Fast approaching the full-on Old Hag, looking older than my years, all I need is a pointy hat and warts - particularly horrific early morning.

Night Owl that made me howl  😄.....hope it was supposed to!!  That's something for us all to look forward to then!!  The other thing that really works (if you iron it) ...invest in a silk pillowcase.  I have one and now wake up with non-frizzy hair and no lines on my face from cotton pillowcases!  John Lewis did a reasonably priced one.
