Today we had our little Cavalier dog put to sleep, she was almost twelve, she had had three seizures this week and her back legs were giving way.......Right now I feel like a murderer....broken hearted.

"If it should be
That I grow old and weak ......... "
Been there. Several times. If given £M1 what more could you have done, sadly Nature takes over.
When her back legs gave way the look of fear on my Girl's face was more than I could bear
. 3 days later it was all over. It is a privilege to be able to let out pets be free of pain.
Now running at Rainbow Bridge.

This broke my heart for you. My 1st doggy was a rescue from Greece. I found her new-born on the street and raised her with a dummy. She eventually died aged 19 years old!!
It still broke my heart though as I held her in the last moments.
Nobody understands unless they have been through it.
I am sending you all my love and hugs, even though I know it wont help. xxx

It's never an easy thing to do but in your heart of hearts you know it was the right thing. The first few days are always the worst, I've found, as it's easy to question whether things could have been done differently. The horrible part of owning a pet but the kindest thing to do.

Really sad for you. Making the decision to have your beloved dog PTS is the last loving thing you can do for them. Its horrible and I have had to do it several time now and we are dogless for the first time in our married lives. Take care. Xx

PF so are we, and we won't have any more pets. She had a very special place in my heart . I feel empty.

I'm so sorry Ellie,
It's always so sad when we have to do these things.
It's the real bad part of owning a pet.
But eventually all your remember is the happy times, and when she made you smile.
She knows you did the right thing, not that that's going to make you feel any better.
Sending you
because I know exactly how you feel...
Take care babe.....

So very sorry Ellie. It's the hardest thing to do, but when the time comes you do what is right for them.
