I posted recently about biblical hot sweats whilst on Femonston 2/10, and following a meeting with my GP yesterday she is putting me on Femonston Conti - as I am 51 she thinks its about the right time and she things this will help with the hot sweats, and now, after talking it through,  I also realise I have been quite emotional.  I'm actually really quite apprehensive and just wondering if anyone has tried to move and how did it go?  Was lack of oestrogen a problem?  I am still being prescribed Vagifem due to extreme dryness.  I am also concerned about the change removing what little libido I have - meno has not been great for that at all! My GP is really supportive, and she does think this will be best but any experience welcome  - thanks in advance!

I think I am right in saying that you will still have oestrogen everyday with conti, but the difference is you will also be taking progesterone every day as well to keep womb lining thin and therefore no bleed. Hopefully it will help, but I guess if the hot sweats continue you may need to consider more oestrogen e.g. pump of gel as well - but it maybe you should ask for referral to specialist to discuss this - your GP sounds great.

I am no expert, but I get your anxiety as I have recently changed HRT regime and finding it tough to adjust. However, as you are staying with Femoston then hopefully the transition will be smooth. Please post how it is going
