 I've been on Femoston 2/10 for nearly 4 years and its been great  (I'm 51 now) and was suffering severely before that, but in the last few months the hot sweats have come back during the day and every time I do anything remotely energetic - I'm drenched, to the point where I'm totally embarrassed - hair and clothes soaked.  Even if I walk for a few minutes and not even out of breath I'm drenched in sweat and its becoming very embarrassing at work, and everywhere else, to the point that I'm not going out walking which I love.  Added to that are the random hot sweats during the day which just arrive!  And I'm just shattered all the time.  Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar thing with this preparation and any suggestions for perhaps swapping to a different one?  I'm quite sensitive to progesterone so not all of them suit me - I tried Ellest previously and that was a disaster

You can add oestrogen to Femoston in the form of gel, tablet or patch. X

thanks Dotty, my preparation already has a high dose of oestrogen in it - but thanks for replying

Femoston 2/10 is a medium dose hrt and your return of symptoms indicates that you need more oestrogen x

ah thanks again Dotty -shows how wrong I can be - do you know any preparations which might be a higher dosage?  might be helpful to give my GP some ideas

I've just gone up from 1/10 to 2/10 and have my fingers and toes crossed, but this reply is really useful. I didn't know you could add more oestrogen on top of the 2/10 femeston.

Hi this document says you can add oestrogen to Femoston Conti, so it may not apply to Femoston 2/10.

If you need more oestrogen then try Oestrogel (2-4 pumps) or oestrogen patches (50, 75 or 100) x
