New bladder issue!
« on: September 03, 2018, 10:24:48 AM »

Good morning!

I have recently started taking Femoston 1/10 (i'm only on week 2 of the tablets).... unsure at the moment as to if it is working as my symptoms (mainly hot flushes) have been intermittent.

Anyway...

Went away for a couple of days last week with Hubby and kids and one day we did a 12 mile bike ride (all flat roads I hasten to add!)..

Since then I've felt a bit uncomfortable down below, to be expected I suppose, but have also been leaking a drop of wee now and again.

I have had a slightly weak bladder since having kids, can't go on a trampoline, have to be careful when sneezing etc but this feels different,  The odd drop of wee is leaking out at random (not when coughing etc) and also when I am not feeling like my bladder is full.

I already have a kegel8 gadget and so have used that and will continue to do so, also doing pelvic floor exercises and have just purchased some vaginal moisturiser....

I am hoping it will settle down but just wanted some feedback if you have any?!?

Many thanks.

Maybe get your Practice Nurse to have a look-see, ask if there is a Continence Nurse you could be referred to.  Pelvic floor exercises need to be done correctly to gain benefit.

You may need vaginal atrophy treatment ........

Thank you CLKD!

I appreciate your reply.

I'll give a week or so to see if things improve, if not, a trip to the GP it is.

Just starting to wonder what else this menopause lark is going to throw at me, I think I may need to prepare myself!!!
