Looking for some advice.
Been on FemSeven conti 50 micrograms since February, had trouble getting this recently so have been given the nearest substitute Evorel conti 50 micrograms.
Started to feel unwell yesterday after having it in for a few days. Compared the dosage of both and found that the estradiol hemihydrate is more than double in the Evorel patch, the progestarone is a different type in each so harder to compare, although in the evorel it does seem to be a higher concentration. Does anyone know how it works and if I have been taking a higher level than I am used to?

HI,

As I understand it from research.

Both patches release 50mcg estradiol so this dosage is the same.  However, the progestogen element is different with FemSeven Conti using Levonorgestrel and Evorel using norethisterone.

This may take a bit of getting used to and for some folks they don't settle on the norethisterone.

I am quite sure that someone will be along to go into much more detail but in the meantime, hope this helps.
