Thanks to everyone who read my piece though I sort of wish it hadn't resonated, as I wouldn't wish menopausal depression on anyone. But so many women have written to tell me they now feel a bit less alone, so that's good. I've recommended this forum to everyone, as it has been so helpful to me in the past.

Anglichanka - thank you.  I asked my husband  to read the article as I felt it articulated what I couldn't and it did.  So thank you so much.  It's time that there was a bigger conversation on this and that there was understanding as opposed to ......  Oh you just get on with it..........  We can't and I can honestly say that I have met every other challenge in my life and there has been real sadness but this is slowly but surely bringing me further and further down.  J xxx

It's not nice to feel like a totally different person because of the menopause/perimenopause. I can't believe the change in me in just three years.

I'm just teetering on perimenopausal but already the anxiety and depression have returned after being well for quite a number of years. I very much related to 'Bridge Days'
