End of tether!!!!!!!
« on: August 09, 2018, 08:56:36 PM »

After a holiday in which I have been here in body but certainly not in mind I have decided that I need to do something. I def see a pattern in the femoston 1/10 grey pills. It is the same time of month when I am in the oestregen and progesterone pill I just feel so depressed. What is the alternative? They help with physical symptoms but cause hellish lows a week in the month and I've spoiled this family time that I was so looking forward to!! Menopause nurse says as I'm 45 I have to take combination to give me a bleed!!! I feel stuck and wonder what I can do. I've struggled over a year on hrt now but I've had enough and thinking of stopping it altogether. Help x

Perhaps it's time to try a different Hrt there are so many  and you just need to find one that suits you with a different progesterone.

Femoston made me feel awful generally.  I have had to chop and changed my hrt over the last 18 months and I'm still not sure I'm on the right track.  One of them caused so much anxiety that the doctor ended up prescribing anti-anxiety pills - so after 3 months was up - that hrt got ticked off the list!

I have to bleed too but there are a fair few to try.  I had 4 and half months at one point without any hrt at all and that was a nightmare!  I certainly could'nt not take any so I am happy to keep trying.  You could give up but I'm sure you can find the right regime if you persevere.

I am new to the forum and I am so glad to have the support and knowledge you can find here - when you feel like giving up or cant find an answer, someone here will be right on it - nothing is too much trouble.  I was at the end of my tether too but not anymore although I'm not sorted yet - I know I'm in the right place.
