I do think the meds help, but I have suffered with anxiety and depression on an off for 27 years,I still remember my first panic attack like it was yesterday, but this time it's different,it crept up on me 3 years ago with loss off confidence and low self esteem, then jan 2017 bam 💥 full blown debilitating anxiety and depression,8 months off work, too scared to be on my own even for 5 mins,it was hell on earth, trust me I never want to go back there,I lost 3 stones in weight, and the rest as they say is history. So I've had one hell of a journey and had to fight every step of the way,but if you don't fight for what you need you won't get it,don't take no for an answer. Like I said I had a laugh at work today for the first time in 3 years, that was a huge achievement for me and a small glimmer of the woman I used to be.

Thanks Lisa.
What you say rings a bell, being frightened to be alone. My parents had to wait for me outside the toilet for me, in my own house. I couldn't be alone. I lost 2 stone as well. A horrible time for me and my family - I live in fear of it coming back.

To me, this hormone upheaval seems different to typical depression—anxiety.

Thanks again- will keep fighting xxx

It's so definitely different from normal anxiety and depression,I too fear it coming back, that's my biggest fear, but no one knows what's going to happen do they,so we have to fight on xx

Hi Lisa,

I'm so pleased that things are a bit better for you. Keep fighting and you'll get there. My situation is far worse than I post. Some of it similar to yours and I've a long way to go but I feel like I'm heading in the right direction too. This forum brilliant. Even the times when I haven't been up to posting myself just reading things like you smiled at work lifts my spirits enough to keep going.

Wishing you many more laughs Lisa 😀

Well today I am pouring with sweat, my anxiety is bordering on the irrational, have no energy and feel very low. In fact - I feel like I'm almost having a panick attack.

Not felt like this for ages. My rational mind tells me it's low oestrogen but my irrational mind tells me it's too high!

Just ordered a private blood test - as GP nurse is off sick.
