Is this normal?

I am due to go to the doctors to see about HRT as have been pre-menopausal for about 3 years but is it normal to get the main symptoms, i.e. severe itching, night sweats, tiredness and irritability during the time of the month whether or not I am having a period and not as bad during the rest of the month?

Yes it is.....if you are peri menopausal then your hormones will be constantly fluctuating.

Thank you as I've been putting it off as I thought I was just being dramatic but it's steadily getting worse each month. Just waiting for the doctor to call back to discuss HRT

As oestrogen levels drop the body may become dry: inside and out
- skin, deep in the ears, nostrils, deep in the vagina ........ as well as muscles may become lax = aches and pains.

Fermoston HRT - Any advice?

I am now taking Femoston HRT since Friday but after reading about it, it says it should be for post menopausal. I am definitely pre-menopausal as I have the occasional period albeit somewhat speradic. Any advice?

There are 3 different types of Femoston. Is it Femoston Conti you have been given?

I think that is sequential so for peri menopause.
Does it say it's for post menopause?

This is what I read about it:
Femoston is used for:
Relief of symptoms occurring after menopause
During the menopause, the amount of oestrogen produced by a woman's body drops. This can cause symptoms such as hot face, neck and chest (“hot flushesâ€). Femoston alleviates these symptoms after menopause. You will only be prescribed Femoston if your symptoms seriously hinder your daily life.

There's 2 lines of white and 2 lines of dark per strip - if that makes sense?

Sounds like sequential one. You take oestrogen only for 2 weeks and then oestrogen and progesterone for 2 weeks.
