Anybody feel conti gives them back a cycle
« on: July 05, 2018, 02:11:19 PM »

I'm having a tortuous journey with evorel conti inasmuch as the drs panic because I get a spot or 2 of old blood about once a month when I'm at 3/4 of a patch but not on half.
I'm pretty sure it's recreated a cycle in I get headaches, slight dI'd charge, bloating etc about once a month just like pre meno days.
I've been on the patches over a year and feel sure I'm going to have to change but the actual small spots don't bother me it's just the dr.
My ultrasound last year was 6.6mm so the doc panicked over the .6.
It's doing my head in, it really is.

Sarai I wonder whether you are still having a cycle yourself as I seem to remember you had a late menopause. When was your last period and what age were you, and how did they end before you started the HRT- did you have spotting type periods and did you go an entire year?
I have a hunch you may still be making your own hormones, might be wrong but it sounds like it.
What does the GP think?

Machair yes I was late at 54. I did 11 months then had a massive shock then had a bleed then managed the year.
I was 14 months post when I went in the conti.
I'm certain I have a cycle as it's monthly and all the old feelings headache, bloating, poor sleep, extra weed and the discharge that washes out a tiny amount of old blood.
All this didn't happen on half a patch.

Bless you Sarai I expect you are sick of all this now. I hope things settle for you. It certainly sounds very hormonal.I'm the same but not on HRT.x
