Can a decrease in Estrogel cause anxiety
« on: April 25, 2018, 02:05:00 PM »

About 3 weeks ago I dropped my dose of Estrogel down from 3 pumps to 2 because I new their were supply issues and I didn't want to completely run out and because my VA seemed to be really controlled.
Since then I have had awful anxiety, triggered by decorating, I won't bore you with that!
I went to doctor as I felt so bad, he said it was probably the stress I have had over last 4 years, he is seeing me next week.
My question is, could the reduction in estrogel have triggered the anxiety?

It probably hasn't helped as I've read several times that oestrogen is the happy hormone.  It's never had that effect on me but in your situation the stress and reduction of oestrogen is probably a bad combo for you.  Hopefully you'll feel better soon.  Anxiety is pants x

Tinker bell you sound like me-very sensitive to hormones and I recently had a rough time as was given oestrodose not oestrogel due to the supply issue. Back in oestrogel now and feel I'm doing okay. Would go back up if you were happy on that dose. You can only try. Good luck xx
