HRT and night sweats
« on: March 21, 2018, 03:42:49 PM »

Hi ladies, I had a break from HRT last year and suffered terrible with adrenal surges at night heart palpitations and strange internal shaking. I have now been back on my HRT for 6 months and have suddenly started horrendous night sweats mainly my legs!! Plus I have muscle twitching in my calves that drives me nuts! I also have greasy hair after two days where as I used to be able to leave it for 3/4 days. My anxiety has also come back even though I've been on sertraline 50g for three months. Anyone had similar or advise. Feeling very fed up a constant up and down for the past year.

Hi and welcome Jocharle
Could be the Sertraline causing your problems - maybe have this reviewed?  What HRT are you on and where are you in you meno journey - were you still having periods? DG x

Sertraline takes a good few months to feel the full benefits hang on in there and try and relax as much as you can. I've had all those symptoms too. Horrendous. My Doctor friend said be good to your endocrine system. Sleep, drink loads of water, eat well and exercise.....sounds easy written down I know!!!!! X
