Hi Ladies is anyone else taking this? My doctor prescribed 2.5mg per day. I'm almost at the end of the 1st packet. I find that the one tablet per day is making me lathargic, sleepy, and my tummy has not been right yet. I'm desparate for some energy and an uplifting feeling. Also still having hot flushes through the night.
Would love to connect with other ladies taking it.
Thanks for reading.

Hi and welcome to MM
I tried tibolone, slept really well and generally felt good but unfortunately got awful acne !!
It doesn't suit everyone. Was your energy low before you started ? Tell us more about yourself- age and where you are in your menopause?
What meno symptoms are you trying to improve? DG x

Hello
Im taking Tibolone....was on it nearly a year but it made my joints more painful than they usually were so I stopped them 6 weeks ago. Went to my doc and she thinks I have arthritis so Iv been back on them for 3 weeks!
Im now having a round of acne on my face and stiffer joints again so back to doc last week. Now she is saying wait until the 6 week mark then reduce to every other day as they take 6 weeks to fully get into your system.
Maybe wait until your 6 week marker. Also I have seen other forums where theres been chat about Tibolone and some ladies have thought their not strong enough! They dont come in a higher strength!
Hope I havent confused you further 😊

If night sweats are coming back it's posdibly the oestrogen component is too weak. You could try topping up with oestrogel? I've heard members on here have done it and I wished I'd have thought of it when I was taking Tibolone

I was on Tibolone for several years and felt great. It was the only HRT that worked for me without giving me migraine. Unfortunately I had to come off it last summer following 3 TIA's (I don't think it was the cause!). I'm on patches now and although they've got rid of the awful night sweats and hot flushes, I feel constantly tired.
Obviously we are all different, and what works for one doesn't work for another. I think I'd give it a bit more time.
