Post-menopausal and started on HRT

Hi, I've been told by my gynacologist I am post-menopausal and have been put on HRT (Elleste Duet 1mg tablets).  Reading the book it says I will have a monthly bleed.  Is this right?  If I'm post-menopausal, and as my letter states, have none functioning ovaries, will I have this bleed?  I'm very confused, especially as I am only 43.  Thanks.

June/July time but then had another bleed in December which they put down to my pill, Celest, which I'm now not taking (but obviously being careful just in case).

Until you have not had a period for a year then you are still in peri menopause so you have been given the right hrt .

Well that's what everyone on here seems to say but according to the specialist I'm post-menopausal (according to my FSH, LH and oestradiol tests in particular my Beta-oestradiol is less than 44).  My scan showed both ovaries are normal but featureless and endometrium is thin.  I don't know what to think really.

I think fsh can show you are post menopausal but you can still be having periods. I've read that somewhere. You might not bleed on the hrt you have been given .

I guess I just have to wait and see.  And definitely use precautions.  What a nightmare!  Its so confusing  :(
